Happy Feet Studio is proud to present a Solo Jazz workshop with no other than the impeccable Ksenia Parkhatskaya.
Ksenia is one of todays most famous Authentic Jazz and Charleston dancers. Her unique style and amazing technique has captivated audiences all over the world and we feel very lucky to have her visit Copenhagen this August.
Ksenia will be doing two 1-day workshops in Solo Jazz, Saturday and Sunday the 5th and 6th of August. Each workshop will have 4 hours of classes.
You will be able to register to either of the two 1-day workshops or take both for a total of 8 hours of classes.

Ksenia is one of the most interesting and versatile artists in the jazz world today.
She exploded onto the international swing scene in 2011, but she has been in training as a professional ballroom dancer since 1996 and as an actor of a musical theatre, modern jazz dancer since 2005. Ksenia has a true mastery over different genres, underpinned by a singer’s understanding of musicality and an historian’s appreciation of authenticity. Along with swing solo styles Ksenia currently works with house, tap dance, afro styles and contemporary.
Ksenia has performed solo with internationally recognised big bands and orchestras such as: Christian McBride Trio (US), Georgyi Garanyan Big Band (Rus), Opera de Paris orchestra (Fr). She creates choreographies for TV and films such as: So You Think You Can Dance’15 (Rus), So You Think You can Dance’15 8 (Ukr), Ukrain’s Got Talent’13 (Ukraine), “Harbinez” TV series film (Rus).
In 2016 Ksenia started receiving invitations to perform at highly respected classical music festivals. The largest of these events being ”Un Violon Sur Le Sable” (Ryoan, France). Ksenia with the Opera de Paris orchestra performed as a soloist the famous composition “Sing, Sing, Sing” in front of an audience of
over 50 000. Prior to this she choreographed and danced in a 2h Opera “O’Maria” at O/Modernt festival with Hugo Ticciati, Gareth Lubbe, Zoran Marcovic, Marcelo Nisinman, (Stockholm, Sweden). At the same festival Ksenia had the honor performing on stage with world famous percussionist Evelyn Glennie.
Currently Ksenia is touring the world giving workshops and performing. She is working on her unique and first in the world solo jazz dance show “Radio Hermitage”, where she tells her story of acquaintance with Jazz. The show reveals the timeless power and raw energy of vernacular jazz dance forms and music from Afro and Charleston to Swing and Bebop, taking you on a journey through the decades of Jazz. The show had a pre premiere in Royan (FR) in front of 1500+ people audience, in Firkin Crane Dance Theatre (Cork, IRL) during Guinness Cork Jazz weekend. It premiers in Firkin Crane Theatre, September 9th 2017.
