The Big Apple is one of the most famous solo jazz routines, dating back to the 1930s. It has been choreographed by Frankie Manning, and became one of the scenes in a movie called Keep Punching, where it was performed by Whitey's Lindy Hoppers.
The routine has keept its popularity over the years, and it is known and danced all over the world also today. This cool uptempo routine is a great thing to have in your dance vocabulary!
This workshop will be taught by both Kuno & Gosia in combination.
PROGRAM OF THE WORKSHOP
11.00-13.30 - 1st part of the routine
13.30-14.30 - lunch break
14.30 - 16.00 - 2nd part of the routine
You will be able to sign up either for both parts (5 hours) or for 1st or 2nd part of the workshop only (2,5h).
Signing up just for one part is especially dedicated to those of you who already learned the Big Apple at some point, but need to refresh some parts of the routine. So if you find yourself thinking "What the hell is happening after the bridge?" when the Big Apple song comes on, the after-lunch part of the workshop will be great for you 🙂
